It really is great that people still remember what happened 90 years ago and still have a great amount of respect for those who fought and died during these horrible wars. As part of my history interests I have studied both world wars and the effects of them on both the soldiers who fought in them as well as society in general. It is quite staggering to see the impact that these wars had on society and it still shows today with art like this. It is grotesque, sublime, and beautiful all at the same time.
